Tejal has multicultural experience and exposure to different cultural foods by working with varied ethnic groups. Nutrition has been her passion, life and career. Tejal believes in pure nutrition for healthy life at different stages of life cycle.
Her Master's research was on "effects of flaxseed on diabetes". She completed her Dietetic Internship rotations at Texas Children's Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and Katy Independent School District.
Tejal is also actively involved in leadership roles within dietetic profession. She is Co-Chair of Medical Nutrition Therapy Manual with Texas Dietetic Association and Web Manager with EatRightHouston (Houston Area Dietetic Association).
Tejal has been mentoring dietetic interns from University of Houston, Texas Women's University, Texas A&M University and Texas Department of State Health. Tejal is committed to lending proper guidance, support, knowledge and encouragement to interns to reach their full potential as future professionals, educators and practitioners.
